  Dear Reader,

Thank you for joining Tess and I on her emotional journey of exploration and discovery. These books have formed the debut of my writing career, and they mean so very much to me. Every tear shed, every joy shared with my characters, they simply wouldn’t have come to life without my readers. This final book has been an extremely emotional journey, as however much I want my characters to have a happy ending, life often doesn’t work out in that way for everyone. It has always been my intention to portray the realities of life and BDSM in my writing, and this seemed the only way that this Ménage would ever work out when passions ran so high between them all. I had intended that this would be the end of Tessa’s world, but it just didn’t seem right to do that. These characters have a life of their own, worlds that brought their specific motivations to bear here, for you all to read. So – I can’t have this as the end, it’s just the beginning.

Lady Isabella Cavendish will be brought to you soon with the Genteel Domme, the first in her series of books, “The Isabella series” and of course, I can’t leave Master Charles Black out either. “The Charles series” will detail how he explored his Dominance with Louise (From Becoming the Master). This isn’t the end of Tess either, she’s whispering a tale I am sketching out for the future, but I think, for now, it’s best I leave her to her new job in Dubai for a short time.

None of what I describe above will happen without the support of my readers, I enjoy hearing from you, finding out what you love and what you hate about my characters, and I have no doubt that some of you will see the imprint of your comments in some way on their resulting personalities. And so, it is with this in mind that I ask that you share their stories, this trilogy, the companion books, with your friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter. In fact, with anyone who you think may be moved by the journey you have taken, and will take with me as we venture into the intertwining worlds of Tessa, Johnny, Charles, Louise and Isabella.

So, please think about leaving me a review to let me know if my words have reached out to you. I read every single review left for me, including star ratings on Goodreads and other review sites, because you wouldn’t believe how much of a difference your carefully chosen words make to me, and my writing.

Thank you once again for reading.

  Love Tessa

  Chapter One

Sunday mornings were definitely supposed to be like this. Tessa snuggled contentedly in Johnny’s arms as she felt him tighten his grip around her waist; the slow rise and fall of his chest pressed against her back belied his somnolent state. Both of them lying completely naked in her bed, she reminisced about the wonderful date the night before, and how they’d finally succumbed to their lust and consummated their relationship. She listened distractedly to his peaceful breathing and tried to reconcile with her mixed-up emotions.

Johnny was the first man she’d slept with in over a year who wasn’t her Master, and she had been worried for so long about taking that step. They’d been dating for almost six months now; was it cruel she had been sleeping with Master while she’d been making Johnny wait? There had been reasons, of course. Tessa had been scared that if she made love to Johnny it could mean she would no longer desire her Master, and that thought horrified her to the depths of her soul. She needed what her and Master had—what they’d forged together—what she’d gladly trained to be, but there was always that niggling in the back of her mind. He’d told her she must find someone to spend her life with, making it clear in no uncertain terms that they’d never be together. Johnny had been in the right place at the right time, and yet she’d almost called off their first date when Master had told her He’d left His wife. She hadn’t known what to do. Everything she had thought she’d known came crashing down around her. She wanted to run to Him, tell Him she’d be His for eternity—they could be together. But it didn’t work out that way.

  The revelation.

He had proceeded to tell her that what she’d thought was a happily understood, open relationship with His wife was in fact a complete lie. He’d been cheating on her with Tess. She remembered clearly the abject horror when she realized what she’d been party to. Not to mention that His words were irreparably destroying her precious trust in Him with each new disclosure. Their relationship, in her eyes, had been built on complete trust. She’d given herself to Him, body and soul. Her life was utterly in His hands. Yet He’d lied so smoothly, so competently, for almost a year. Her world of happiness was gone in the blink of an eye and she walked away without looking back. What did they have if they had no trust? True, He’d told her now, but what else hadn’t He told her if He had kept such an important secret for so long?

They hadn’t spoken for about a week after that; Master sent her two messages each day—one in the morning before she awoke, and one at night before she went to sleep. He told her she was still His and He did not want that to change, but He’d release her if that was what she truly wanted. But she didn’t want that. She needed the freedom from her self-imposed personal control that He so effortlessly knew how to take from her, allowing her peace in her everyday life. So nearly a week later she had relented and agreed to meet to talk it over further. The pain had dulled, but the lies still silently absorbed her thoughts, and then Tessa began to suspect that there was something not quite right with her Master either. He still made jokes, and their discourse was easier than she had expected, but something had changed. The hint of steel that always reinforced His gaze was now harder, more fierce than before. When He smiled, the twinkle of mirth that used to reside there was replaced by a glint so sharp it seemed dangerous. She’d tried to ignore the hairs risin
g on the back of her neck each time the topic of conversation turned toward Johnny and her impending date. But what chilled her more than the look in His eyes was when she spoke of Johnny, any emotion that might have displayed before disappeared entirely. The Man she’d fallen in love with, trusted her life with, would have given up everything she had to be with, had disappeared like sea mist in a cold breeze. Wisps of unease crawled across her skin when He had told her He’d meant what He’d said about her finding a man to be her life companion, and she must go on the date with Johnny as “he was a good man,” and “he would never hurt her.” Tessa had shivered involuntarily as the words thudded into her, but she didn’t disobey. Despite everything, she still loved Him—and whether she should know better or not, she needed to please Him. She needed to find the Master she had lost.

Time rolled on; Tessa and Master continued to meet, using each other for a semblance of release and balance in emotional and physical means, but Master became more emotionally detached from her. He never hurt her—He always held her tightly and managed her drop when they finished their play, but He seemed empty to her. Continuing to encourage her relationship with Johnny, He had admonished her for withholding sex from him, reprimanding her so severely on some occasions that she’d not been able to sit for a few days. He didn’t know her reasons why; she simply said that in a long-lasting relationship she had to be sure before she made that step. There was no need to take that next step with Johnny unless it meant something. Had she seen a flicker of anger cross His features? Maybe she’d imagined it.

She had never hidden her feelings from Him before. In fact, she never could. But with this new detachment—this distance she felt—came an ability within her to be able to hide things from Him. Was it something new that she could? Or was it that she sensed He cared less about her than before? Had He ever actually cared about her?

“Good morning, beautiful,” Johnny growled huskily in her ear.

Turning her head to look at her lover, Tess giggled lightly as he smiled broadly, eyes still half-closed, even with his apparent wakefulness. He had such an open face, every emotion, both delight and sadness—something she’d only ever seen a glimpse of once, and hopefully never again—played across his features, plain for everyone to see. This morning he looked blissfully happy, happier than she’d ever seen him. Her heart stuttered at the thought that it was perhaps her that had made him so happy. He may not be her Master, but she still yearned to please him all the same. Pecking him on the lips as best she could from her twisted angle, she tenderly squeezed the rough hands that still wrapped lovingly around her body.

“You’re amazing,” he continued. “So worth the wait, but then they do say the best things in life are worth waiting for.” He nuzzled into the crook of her neck, pulling her even closer to him. It didn’t pass her notice that he was hard again, and they’d had a considerable amount of sex through the night as it was. She may have had no issues with Master’s sexual stamina, but Johnny? He seemed to be able to keep going indefinitely.

“Easy, tiger. Are you not exhausted yet? You’ll give yourself a hernia at your age!” She ground her ass languorously against him, moaning as she felt the thickness of him throbbing in response. He ran his hand over her hip and rolled her so they were face to face.

“Ah, you’re saying ‘easy, tiger’, yet doing that? I know you’re an unbelievable tease, Tessy, but that’s a crime for which you’re just going to have to pay the punishment.” He winked wickedly. Laughing out loud as he playfully ran his fingertips along her sensitive sides, she struggled to push away from him.

“Not fair! Let go!” She returned a playful jab to his ribs. Catching her wrist he pulled her close in a tight embrace, rubbing his nose to hers in an Eskimo kiss.

“I don’t ever want to let you go, you know…and you’re not a bad shag, either!”

Squealing, Tessa sat up and grabbed the pillow by her head, thwacking him as hard as she could. It occurred to her that play fighting was something she never did, but Johnny—he seemed to bring out her youthful, childlike side. And she enjoyed it. It was freeing in another way from what she was used to: less of the polite restraint and careful control of her Master, but more reckless abandon, which she needed more than anything after the tensions of the last six months. As the duvet fell from her, the cold air brought her back to her senses momentarily, and she looked down at her naked body in horror. It’d been over a week since she’d seen her Master, and she hadn’t bothered shaving herself in preparation for Johnny, as they’d not had sex or any intention of carrying out anything more than heavy petting. Until last night. She hugged the pillow quickly to her body, flushing deeply and biting her bottom lip, racking her brains to try and come up with any excuse to get dressed.

“What’s up?” Johnny fixed her with an inquiring expression, his brow furrowed in worry.

“Er, nothing. It’s nothing.” She desperately tried to grab the duvet to cover her shame.

“Whoa—slow down, Tessy, what’s the matter? You’re glowing like a traffic light!” She didn’t want to admit what was troubling her but he looked so worried she didn’t know what else to do to appease him. Sighing, she looked up sheepishly. “I’m embarrassed…erm, I really wasn’t expecting us to…take the next step quite yet, so…ah…I didn’t shave…and I know it’s really bad, because grooming is important, and I know it’s disgusting and I’m sorry and…please forgive me?” She paused momentarily, awaiting his response in the stunned silence—and less than a heartbeat later, Johnny’s guffaws filled the room as he laughed as heartily as she’d ever heard him.

“Tessy, Tessy, Tessy.” He shook his head slowly, reaching out, cupping her cheek tenderly. “You never have to worry about anything like that, you silly thing—if it bothers you so much, then I’ll do it for you. I’m hoping for a bit more of the good stuff this morning, so I’m not letting something so pointless stand in my way.” With a wink, he leaped from the bed and disappeared out of the room. Tessa stared open-mouthed after him. What had she just agreed to? But if it made him happy, she certainly wasn’t going to say no.

  Chapter Two

Johnny couldn’t believe his luck as he rifled through her bathroom cupboard, continually turning the events of the night before over and over in his head. Men like me shouldn’t be able to get this lucky. As he had watched her sleep, curled in his arms, he couldn’t believe she was lying there with him, so beautiful, and all his. For years he’d loved her from afar, then out of the blue she’d called him and they’d had that awkward first date. He’d been stunned she seemed so keen, when it was clear she hadn’t ever seen him in a romantic light before. Friends had told him to stop flogging the dead horse and move on, but he knew better. She was the woman for him. He would have waited until the end of the world for her, even though he’d been completely convinced she’d never come to him. Yet here he was, searching through personal items in her bathroom after a night of passion that rendered him dumbstruck.

It wasn’t simply about sex. He considered that it was mind-blowing, yes, but it hadn’t mattered to him they’d not explored that area of intimacy for the entire six months they’d been together. She’d said she wanted to wait, to make sure it was right, and he respected that. He hadn’t even minded all that much when they’d had “that” conversation. Even though he tried not to think too hard about it, he remembered every little detail. She’d explained words he’d never heard before, like submission and power exchange, explained how she allowed her Master to bind her and beat her with things. Only her soothing hand linking with his had calmed the anger boiling within him. The thing that troubled him the most was this “ownership” she talked about. She said she’d given herself to him, body and mind, but it wasn’t love. She didn’t love her Master. His heart had leaped for joy at that point. He’d been beginning to think his friends had been right and she was just toying with his affections as an ego boost. But he actually believed her when she’d said that. After spilling everything else about her sordi
d secret life, why would she lie about that?

So what if she and that Master of hers occasionally had some form of intercourse when things got heated? Charles was a single man and available, yet she was still choosing to date Johnny. If she really wanted the old man, he’d no doubts that “Master” would rip her arm off to ensure she never changed her mind about it. So there was no threat to their relationship, right? What Johnny and her had wasn’t about power and sex and humiliation, but love. Last night she had looked at him in a way that made his heart stop. He saw with such clarity that she loved him. Truly loved him. They’d kissed so passionately, their bodies crying out for each other like they should never be separated again. Sure, she hadn’t said she loved him, but he knew. He could see it in her. He had waited for this moment to arrive and he could wait again.

His Tessa was a sensitive and intuitive lover. Bodies entwined, limbs over limbs, covering her full, perfect curves with his stocky, work-hardened body. She had kept her eyes fixed on his as he gently entered her. He had watched her closely, ensuring this was what she’d wanted, that she wasn’t going to change her mind. Her stunning features had contorted in pleasure as he had stretched her to accommodate his girth, and a sigh of pleasure left her lips as they parted so sensually—because of him. He brought her to come every way he could, with his fingers, his cock…she never seemed satiated.

But the act that drove her wild most of all was when he gave her oral. He had never seen a girl react quite like that before. At first he thought he had done something wrong. Her body had stiffened dramatically with his first lick, her whimpers and moans ceased abruptly, and as he looked up inquiringly, her expression was one of complete shock: her mouth agape, her eyes wide. He had been worried he’d hurt her in some way, but when she realized he had stopped, she looked down, smiled, and wove her fingers into his hair to push him back down. So he continued with reckless abandon, nipping and licking her. He had been fingering her too, and had found a little mound on the inside of her sex; every time he teased it, she wailed in pleasure. He might not be an experienced lover, but he knew when a girl was enjoying herself, and continued to massage this mysterious spot she seemed to enjoy so much. Enjoy she did. As she rose to her climax, her body arched against him, and then suddenly she came, a musky fluid gushing all over his hand. She was like a banshee and actually full-on screamed with pleasure. It was the quickest orgasm he’d ever managed to give a girl before.
